The El Questro Gorge Walk is 7.2 km long. Although more challenging, this is a fun walk through the narrow gorge with steep rock walls. It takes hikers anywhere between 3 to 5 hours to complete. For those wanting to avoid boulder climbing, there is the option to return after reaching the halfway pool. If you have the time and the upper body strength, it's definitely worth continuing all the way to the El Questro Waterfall and plunge pool.

The El Questro Gorge Walk is one of the more challenging but also most spectacular Kimberley hikes. The first part of the walk is fairly easy, but passing the halfway pool will require you to swim and climb up a 3m tall boulder. From there, you will have to climb more rocks and walls. This could be difficult for those lacking upper strength or for young children.

Tasmania has a cool temperate climate with four distinct seasons. The warmest months are in summer and early Autumn, from December to March, and the winter is cool with snow in alpine inland areas such as Cradle Mountain.

Western Australia is a vast State with two distinct weather zones dictating the best time to visit. The northern third of the State including Broome and the Kimberley experience warm dry winters and humid wet summer months between November and March.

The weather in Margaret River is similar to in Perth, which is 3 hours’ north by road, but a few degrees cooler on average. This is good news for those looking to hike the Cape to Cape Track with warm dry days expected from October to April and regularly in September and May.

The weather in Albany is similar to in Perth but a few degrees cooler on average. The milder conditions are ideal for hiking the Bibbulmun Track and enjoying a secluded swim along the way.

October to April is the best time to hike the Routeburn Track, during the Great Walk season when conditions are warmer with fewer rainy days.

Queenstown is the ultimate four-season travel destination.

November to April is the best time to hike the Milford Track for mild conditions, but pack for any season as the Milford Hike can feature rainfall at any time of year

Melbourne and surrounding areas including Wilsons Promontory, Mornington Peninsula and the Grampians experience a temperate but variable climate, with summers generally warm and winters cool but mild.

You can fly to Christmas Island twice a week from Perth on Tuesdays and Fridays

It is a four hour direct flight from Perth to Christmas Island. The return flight to Perth is via Cocos Keeling Islands, so takes approximately 6.5 hours in total.

The Cape to Cape Track in Margaret River is a spectacular long-distance coastal trek, and we would go as far as to call it the best walk in Australia.

The average maximum temperature and rainfall by month in Darwin and the NT Top End are detailed below. The Mary River wetlands and Kakadu National Park are 2-3 hours’ drive from Darwin and experience similar weather patterns.

The best time to walk the Larapinta Trail is in Autumn, Winter or Spring, ideally from April to October when daytime temperatures are mild

On day three you will be dropped at your nominated Hobart hotel or Hobart airport in the early afternoon.

It depends on where you are travelling from, but we'd recommend arriving the day before to ensure you are ready to be collected on the morning your walk commences.

Mobile phone coverage with Telstra (and sometimes Optus) is available, but there is no WiFi.

There are plenty of things to do at Lake St Clair and Pumphouse Point, with bushwalking and spending time on the water topping the list for most.

Our Lake St Clair Walk is considered a moderately challenging walk. We recommend training for all multi-day walks to ensure you get the most out of the experience.

We recommend guests take advantage of our transfer from Hobart which includes scenic stops along the way.

Lake St Clair weather is best in the Summer and Autumn months, if you prefer mild warm conditions and less rain and snow.

Adelaide and the Fleurieu Pensinula, which includes Kangaroo Island and Deep Creek, enjoy a Mediterranean climate similar to Perth. This region experiences mild rainfall with the wettest months in June July and August, but fine winter days are not uncommon here.

Much of New South Wales enjoys a mild sub-tropical climate with humid warm summers and mild winters. Sydney and the Blue Mountains region are generally 4 or 5 degrees cooler than the Central Coast and northern NSW Hinterland region including Byron Bay.
