Day 2

After breakfast, join the arranged transfer to the airport and fly south to the port town of Ushuaia. You will be warmly welcomed by the crew as you board Scenic Eclipse. Settle into your luxurious suite and acquaint yourself with the world-class facilities of your Discovery Yacht. Toast the start of your voyage with new friends as you sail away from South America and cruise through the Beagle Channel. Sit back, relax and watch the Andean mountains of Tierra del Fuego pass by from the comfort of your private verandah.

Days 3 to 4

Enjoy a leisurely sleep-in as you get comfortable with the rhythm of the ocean as the ship sails the Drake Passage. The experienced crew are available to assist you with whatever you need. To prepare for your first Antarctic landing, join an introductory presentation by the Discovery Team in the ship's state-of-the-art theatre. Relax and enjoy the bars, lounges, dining, and wellness facilities as you cruise towards Antarctica.

Days 5 to 10

At once tranquil and overwhelming, arriving in Antarctica for the first time is unlike anything you have experienced. Open your floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and step out onto the private verandah of your suite as you gently drift past icebergs, striking glaciers and mountain peaks towering out of the ocean, looking out for local wildlife such as penguins, seals, and whales.

Scenic Eclipse's Discovery Team is on hand to share their expertise, answer all your questions and lead incredible activities, such as Zodiac excursions, landings, and hikes. If you're feeling adventurous, you can go kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding, peacefully gliding along the water past towering icebergs.

For an extra special experience, capture the majesty of Antarctica from the air with a scenic flight on Scenic Eclipse's onboard helicopter (additional costs apply).

Cruising the Drake Passage back to the so-called "End of the World", there is plenty of time to indulge in the ultra-luxury of Scenic Eclipse and reflect on the magic of the Southern Ocean and the life that calls it home.

Day 13

Your Antarctic voyage ends this morning in Ushuaia after breakfast. But the adventure's not over yet! Fly to El Calafate where your transfer to EOLO Patagonia awaits. Inspired by traditional ranch-style homes, the lodge's elegant, understated interiors and large picture windows showcase the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Activities available within the private estate include hiking, cycling, horse-riding and 4WD tours, and there is a plunge pool and sauna, ideal for relaxing and soothing tired muscles post-adventure. This evening, enjoy a drink at the bar with fellow guests before sitting down to an exceptional gourmet dinner featuring fresh, regional produce and native Patagonian flavours, accompanied by wines from Argentina's top vineyards.

Day 14

After a hearty breakfast this morning, meet your guide for your exclusive hosted walk at Perito Moreno Glacier where you will get close to the dramatic South East and North face of the glacier (on the 'balconies' walk) which is part of Patagonia's Southern Icefield. Later back at EOLO, choose to relax at the lodge or take a guided or self-guided walk to the lagoon to see flamingos, or choose a guided horseride to the top of the Estancia hilltop for views over Lago Argentino and surrounds. Following today's adventures, soothe tired muscles in the outdoor plunge pool or sauna, or with a relaxing massage (cost applies).

Day 15

Enjoy one final breakfast at EOLO before departing this morning. Sit back, relax and enjoy the picturesque Patagonian steppe views on the four-hour journey to El Chalten, stopping at a Gaucho Bar for lunch en route. Your home for the next three nights is Explora El Chalten, an all-inclusive luxury eco-lodge tucked between mountains on the banks of the Electrico River. After settling in, you'll meet with a guide who'll help you plan out an itinerary from the more than 30 activities on offer during your stay based on your preferences, interests and abilities. Ease into the evening with a signature cocktail, locally brewed craft beer or Patagonian wine from the open bar, before sitting down to dinner in the main dining room.

Day 16

Explora El Chalten offers easy access to a range of expertly guided hikes in Los Glaciares National Park and Los Huemules Nature Reserve. We recommend the 23km Laguna de Los Tres Guided Walk for active adventurers, which traverses forests and valleys up to the Los Tres Lagoon. After crossing the river, begin the ascent to the lagoon, where you'll admire the magnificence of Mount Fitz Roy. If you'd prefer a shorter, less challenging walk, the 10.5 km Electrico Valley Guided Hike, Laguna Azul or Los Huemules walks are ideal. Fly fishing, guided 4WD tours and other excursions are also available if you'd prefer less intensive activities. Enjoy a packed lunch on the trail or dine at the lodge if you'd prefer two half-day excursions.

Day 17

Today is a free day to relax at the lodge or explore the region as you wish. Starting the day with a leisurely breakfast, you may opt for a walk to Laguna de los Huemules. Beginning at the lodge, pass through a forest of lenga and ñirre trees, observing various species of birds and looking out for huemul deer tracks. Hike up to the Azul Lagoon, and take in the beautiful views before returning to the lodge where a well-deserved drink and light lunch await. This afternoon, make the most of Explora's onsite spa facilities - indulge in a soak in one of five alfresco hot tubs with amazing views of the ñirre forest, or enjoy a relaxing massage. Later, dinner options include meats cooked on the asado grill, farm-fresh vegetable-forward dishes and delicious desserts. Select from a range of regional wines to accompany your meal.

Day 18

If there's time, squeeze in a brief self-guided walk before departing this morning. You'll be transferred to El Calafate Airport to meet your flight to Buenos Aires. Your bonus stopover in Buenos Aires includes a chauffeur transfer to your hotel. After settling in at MIO Buenos Aires, the afternoon and evening are yours to explore the vibrant Argentinian capital, brimming with colour, history and delightful cafes and parrillas (grill restaurants). Enjoy a free night in Buenos Aires.
