Overview

Patagonia is a vast wilderness area spanning the southern end of Chile and Argentina, including the popular Torres del Paine National Park near Puerto Natales (home of the W-trek), and Glaciers National Park near El Calafate and El Chalten. Despite its remoteness, Patagonia is easily accessed via direct flights from Santiago to Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales, or from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia and El Calafate. Must-do experiences include the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, the W-trek circuit and Grey Glacier, the Lakes District and of course, the Southern Patagonian icefield. Vast estancias are dotted through a landscape rich in glaciers, lakes, valleys and the mountainous peaks of the Andes.
