This private luxury walk on the Queen Charlotte Track is based at Bay of Many Coves Resort, one of the Luxury Lodges of New Zealand. Your experience commences on arrival at Blenheim airport where you'll be met and escorted to Cloudy Bay Vineyards for an estate tour, wine tasting and lunch, before arriving at your accommodation in the late afternoon via water taxi. For the ultimate experience, upgrade to a private Cloudy Bay yacht charter with lunch in place of the winery visit, sailing the Marlborough Sounds before arriving at Bay of Many Coves Resort. Over the next three days, discover the Queen Charlotte Sound on foot as you walk the best sections of the track with your private guide. All transfers, water taxis and meals are included in this four-day luxury experience.

Starts and ends in Blenheim on New Zealand's South Island. All transfers are included throughout your private journey including Blenheim airport pickup/dropoff.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

You'll be collected from Blenheim mid-morning and transferred to Cloudy Bay Vineyard for wine tastings and a delicious lunch. Later this afternoon you'll arrive at Bay of Many Coves by water taxi, disembarking at their private jetty. Tonight a three-course dinner is included at the Foredeck Restaurant, which has sweeping views over the bay.

*Option to upgrade to a full-day charter onboard Cloudy Bay Wines' elegant 54-foot sailing yacht for a private cruise of the Marlborough Sounds with lunch served on board, complete with a selection of wines.

Day 2

Wake to views over the cove from your room, and enjoy breakfast on the terrace. Today you'll commence your Queen Charlotte Track experience, with the first walk taking you from historic Ship Cove to Endeavour Inlet. Your water taxi will transfer you to your start point at Ship Cove where you'll enjoy hearing the history of this area from your private guide. Enjoy the sounds of the forest as you hike to Tawa Saddle, where you'll enjoy stunning views of the Queen Charlotte Sound below. The track then drops into Resolution Bay and follows an old bridle path into Endeavour Inlet and the Furneaux Lodge jetty where your water taxi will collect you. On return to Bay of Many Coves there is time for a dip in the pool before your three-course dinner at the restaurant.

Today's walk is approx. 17kms with lunch enjoyed on the track.

Day 3

This morning enjoy breakfast in the guest lounge and watch the bay for signs of your boat arriving. Today you'll enjoy another scenic walk along the Queen Charlotte Track with your guide, this time between Endeavour Inlet (Furneaux Lodge) and Punga Cove. Spot yachts in the bay as you walk the trail through rainforest and native bushland connecting the two bays. A water taxi will whisk you back to your accommodation at the end of today's 4-5 hour walk. This afternoon is the perfect time to enjoy a massage at the onsite spa, or try out the paddle boards and kayaks in the cove before dinner.

The walk today is approx. 12kms. A lunch hamper will be supplied to enjoy on the track today.

Day 4

Your final morning at Bay of Many Coves Resort begins with another wonderful breakfast, and you might like to brave a dip in the bay for special memories of this beautiful place. You'll be collected by water taxi again and cruise to Mistletoe Bay, located at the far end of the Queen Charlotte Track. Enjoy the changing scenery on today's half-day self-guided walk to Anakiwa. At Te Mahia Saddle, you will enjoy wonderful views of Kenepuru and Queen Charlotte Sounds, and there is a chance for a swim in protected Davies Bay along today's walk. Your driver will meet you in Anakiwa, having already collected your luggage from this morning's boat transfer. Relax on the one hour private transfer to Blenheim airport.

Today's walk is approx. 12km. A lunch hamper is supplied to enjoy on the track or on arrival into Anakiwa.
