Hike the Duhatao mountains and a section of the Sendero de Chile trail on this full day guided walk on Chiloe Island, before a scenic cruise back to your accommodation

1Overview
Overview

The Sendero de Chile is a project designed to connect the entire length of Chile through scenic and naturally versatile walking trails. This enchanting trek begins at the beautiful Bay of Duhatao on Chiloe Island. From here, you will walk the twisting coastal cliffs as they merge into lush forest, taking time to appreciate the view from perfectly positioned lookouts before heading deep into the woods. Birdlife is everywhere here, with Hummingbirds dashing between the cover of ancient trees amid the call of Chucao, Rayaditos and other native songbirds. After a short uphill climb you will be rewarded with views of the surrounding woodland, and out to the Chepu River. The trail descends gradually to the islet of Aulen, where you will have a relaxing stroll along the beach to finish. You will be met by Tierra’s awaiting vessel for your cruise back to the hotel. Towards the end, take in views of the Sunken Forest (“Bosque Hundido”) from the boat itself. This is a special day out for any keen hiker or nature lover.
