1Overview
Overview

Your full day guided hike in the Andes takes place in the Arenales Gorge, a mountain pass located in the Portillo Mountain Range near Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Your walk begins with a three hour hike through the valley as you gradually ascend to a height of 2800 metres. Enjoy discovering the unique flora that characterizes this arid high-altitude area as you walk. If you are lucky you may spot condors flying high above as you progress along your gorge walk. Rock climbers are another common sight as the Arenales is one of the largest rock climbing areas in Argentina, favoured for its vast granite walls. After a beautiful hike, arrive at your destination - a crystal-clear lagoon in Cajón de los Arenales filled by ice melt from the valley walls above. Return transfers from your accommodation and a packed lunch is included.
