Overview

Mount Gower is considered one of Australia’s best day hikes, with its challenging terrain, varied wildlife and vegetation, and epic ocean views from the summit. This experience is not for the faint-hearted, but the challenging eight-hour hike is well worth the effort for those eager to tick this one off their hiking bucket list. Your private guide will lead you up the mountain with the scenery and vegetation constantly changing as you climb higher. At the summit, you’ll be standing 875 metres above sea level and have spectacular views of the island including Mt Lidgbird and the ocean beyond. It is here you’ll discover a unique forest with ferns and moss covering every available rock and tree. Woodhens are also commonly spotted on and near the summit. Lunch is included.
