Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

You’ll be collected in Cairns before lunch for your private transfer to Silky Oaks Lodge, checking in to a Riverhouse Suite with views over the Mossman River. There are a number of self-guided walk options to choose from this afternoon including exclusive access to The Fig Tree Rapids walking trail. Otherwise enjoy a pampering spa treatment or relax in your outdoor bathtub overlooking the waters below. Meet with fellow guests for evening drinks and canapes before sitting down to a gourmet dinner with premium matched wines.

Day 2

After a gourmet breakfast this morning, you have the opportunity to join a gently paced guided yoga class with fellow guests. The soothing sounds of the Mossman River surround you in the open-air pavilion, offering complete relaxation. After a peaceful start to the morning we suggest some self-guided exploration on the rainforest trails around Silky Oaks Lodge. There are many wonderful spots to stop for a refreshing dip before returning to your Riverhouse. The Treehouse Bar is available for guests to enjoy lunch today, while the afternoon offers ample time to enjoy this special property or opt into one of the Lodges Signature Experiences such as river snorkelling. Following evening drinks and canapes, dinner tonight is another chance for the chefs to showcase the expertly prepared local produce while you enjoy the premium wine pairings.

Day 3

Following another gourmet breakfast this morning, we recommend joining the shuttle transfer into Port Douglas today to explore Four Mile Beach and the trendy food and wine scene along Macrossan Street. Half day trips are available to explore the nearby reef, or you may like to simply enjoy a walk along the palm fringed beach taking in the mountainous surrounds. Enjoy a light lunch and some shopping in town before returning to Silky Oaks Lodge and your final evening of drinks, canapes, and dinner with fellow guests. Before bed, take a moment to relax by the firepit overlooking the river.

Day 4

You’ll be collected after breakfast this morning for your private ground transfer to Cairns. On arrival, you will be met by your private helicopter and pilot for your air transfer to Orpheus Island. Enjoy the magnificent views over the Great Barrier Reef on your flight south to Orpheus. After check-in settle into your Beachfront Suite this afternoon perhaps enjoying a swim in the infinity pool or a glass of wine by the beach. Tonight meet fellow guests in the main pavilion and indulge in a 4-course degustation menu overlooking the Coral Sea with select premium beverages.

Day 5

After a leisurely start to the morning and waking to the sounds of the ocean, make your way to breakfast to enjoy an alacarte menu focused on fresh, seasonal produce. Today you will explore the island's turquoise waters and beaches, with the option to use paddleboards, kayaks, snorkelling and fishing gear. You can also opt to join one of the guided experiences with the Orpheus crew - a boat trip around the island and a guided snorkelling experience is a popular and recommended option. Picnic hamper lunches can be arranged for a private scenic lunch, or you can dine back at the lodge. Later relax by the pool before another special dinner at the main pavilion.

Day 6

After breakfast this morning, set out on a private boat trip to unique Hinchinbrook Island. Your private guide will lead you on a short walk on the Thorsborne trail through the rainforest to the magnificent waterfall overlooking Zoe Bay. Enjoy a not-to-be-missed opportunity to swim in the natural infinity pool at the top of the falls with panoramic views over the Great Barrier Reef. Returning to Orpheus this afternoon, you'll have plenty to share with fellow guests over a share style lunch featuring international cuisines. This afternoon relax on your patio with a glass of wine overlooking the Coral Sea or enjoy another swim in the infinity pool. Tonight is a final degustation dinner, perhaps followed by a beach walk before bed.

Day 7

Enjoy a leisurely start and gourmet breakfast this morning along with one last chance to soak up the island views. You will join a dedicated helicopter transfer to Townsville to conclude your journey.
