    Join one of the world’s great rail journeys, the Ghan, as it travels from the red centre of Australia across the outback arriving into Darwin the following night. You’ll enjoy a special night onboard with fine dining and wines in the lounge before falling asleep to the sounds of the track. Day two includes an off-train excursion to Nitmiluk Gorge before the final leg from Katherine to Darwin.

    Day 1

    Notice the changing colours and landscapes as you journey north this evening from Alice Springs, departing in time for a sunset drink and dinner onboard. Enjoy three-courses showcasing Australian produce and wines, before relaxing in the bar lounge. Later fall asleep to the sound of the tracks as the vast outback landscape passes by outside.

    Continue on your Ghan journey today as you travel across the outback arriving into Katherine this morning after a relaxed breakfast onboard. Prepare to experience one of the region’s most impressive natural wonders, Nitmiluk Gorge, part of the 292,000 hectare Nitmiluk National Park. You'll explore the gorge from the water with a guided cruise included today before re-joining the train and continuing your journey into Darwin arriving this evening.
