Your private guide will collect you from your Queenstown or Wanaka accommodation before taking a scenic drive into Mount Aspiring National Park. After commencing the Rob Roy Glacier Track, you'll soon be led along the beautiful Matukituki Valley into the National Park; a place of mountains, glaciers, river valleys and alpine lakes. The track follows Rob Roy Stream through beech forest and past waterfalls, ferns and a moss-lined trail before the forest gives way to spectacular alpine views of the hanging glaciers beneath Mount Rob Roy. The glaciers are active and can be viewed from the safety of the trail viewing point allowing you to watch and listen for avalanches and carving. Enjoy a picnic lunch with your private guide before returning to your accommodation.
