One of New Zealand's Great Walks, the Routeburn Track offers the ultimate in alpine, lake and valley views for keen hikers

1Overview
Overview

There are two spectacular day walk options we recommend on the Routeburn Track. The first is a full day walk to the Routeburn Flats and Routeburn Falls which overlooks the vast Routeburn Valley below. On this spectacular day hike, enjoy views to snow-capped mountains, lake and river gorges, waterfalls and ancient beech forest. This day hike is featured in our signature Blanket Bay Walk.

If you are travelling privately, you may also like to tackle a second section of the Routeburn Track; in this case we recommend adding a walk to Key Summit and Lake Howden. You'll ascend to Key Summit through lush, temperate rainforest to emerge into a stunning alpine environment with panoramic views of high snowy peaks, alpine lakes and glacial carved valleys before returning to Lake Howden. Picnic lunch, guide and transfers are included with all day hikes.
