The hike to Festvågtind near Henningsvær is a short but rewarding climb, with sweeping views over rocky islands, the Vestfjord, and mainland Norway

1Overview
Overview

From a distance, Festvågtind appears to rise straight from the sea, its slopes impossibly steep. However, the trail winds gradually around the mountain, making the ascent manageable by Lofoten standards. Located just north of Henningsvær, the summit offers sweeping views over the village’s scattered rocky islands. On clear days, you can see all the way to Stamsund and across the Vestfjord to the Norwegian mainland—a rewarding end to this short but challenging hike.
