Wharekauhau Country Estate is a luxury lodge and farm framed by the Remutaka Mountain Range on the North Island's south-east coast near Martinborough. The Edwardian-style Grand Lodge welcomes guests with its warm, light-filled interiors, plush furnishings and open country kitchen, leading to a private courtyard and beautiful gardens. The 16 cosy Cottage Suites feature Super King beds, spacious living areas with gas fireplaces, double spa baths and private ocean-view terraces. Families and private groups may opt for the three-bedroom Foley Villa for additional luxury and privacy. Each corner of the estate boasts expansive views of Palliser Bay and a range of walking and cycling trails are accessible around the property. There are plenty of opportunities to relax or get out and explore the farm and surrounding areas - including the nearby Martinborough and Hawke's Bay wine regions - with a range of customised experiences available.
