As you may have heard, Walk into Luxury is soon to launch its new extended touring range, which will showcase the best luxury accommodation in Western Australia together with some of WA’s best experiences and most spectacular sights. We couldn’t be more excited to see so many of the experiences and accommodations awarded at the WA Tourism Awards are set to feature in our extended touring range. Congratulations to our partners who took home medals on Saturday – we can’t wait to work with you to deliver the best luxury tours in WA.

Luxury Travel WA - Rottnest Island
Perth and Rottnest Island

COMO The Treasury won the Luxury Accommodation category and we are not in the least bit surprised. Located in the Perth CBD’s historic State Buildings, no expense was spared on restoration works to transform it into one of Australia’s finest hotels. Our guests can opt to spend a night or two here as a luxury Perth stopover. It’s the perfect spot for foodies and architecture lovers!

Crown Towers won the silver award in the New Tourism Business category. This is one of our favourite new places to stay in Perth, and a great stopover option for guests wanting to be close to the Swan River, Perth’s Optus Stadium and the Crown entertainment complex. The rooms are very modern, with luxury trimmings and the pool area is the best in Perth.

Home of the quokka, Rottnest Island took home the silver medal for Ecotourism and the bronze medal in the Major Tourist Attractions category. Rottnest is a bucket-list experience for many Perth visitors offering great snorkelling in the turquoise bays and a relaxed island experience with the most common way of getting around on a bike. Our Rottnest Island by helicopter experience provides a chance to view Rottnest Island from the air before landing for a day of swimming and bike riding around Rottnest Island with lunch included at Hotel Rottnest. Stunning views of Kings Park before landing back on the Swan River top off a brilliant day out!

Luxury Travel WA - Vasse Felix
Australia’s South West

Margaret River Region

Pullman Bunker Bay Resort won silver medals in two categories: Luxury Accommodation and Business Event Venues. Located a short stroll from one of the Margaret River Region’s best beaches, Pullman Bunker Bay Resort is one of the best places to stay in Geographe Bay. A favourite for larger Margaret River Corporate Retreats and Charity Challenge Events.

Margaret River Gourmet Escape won the gold medal in the Festivals and Events category and the silver medal for Destination Marketing. Margaret River Gourmet Escape showcases the world-class produce, wine, luxury experiences and natural beauty the region is renowned for. The event is a worthy recipient of these prestigious awards. Time your visit to WA for November to tie it in with this ultimate celebration of food and wine.

Albany and WA’s South Coast

The City of Albany won the Local Government Award for Tourism. Our guests can discover the most stunning icons of Albany and nearby Denmark on our new Bibbulmun Track walks, which cover amazing landmarks like The Gap, the Natural Bridge and Bald Head in the Torndirrup National Park, as well as Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks in William Bay National Park. There really is so much to offer in Albany and all along WA’s Amazing South Coast.

One of our favourite places to stay in town is The Beachhouse at Bayside, who can add the gold medal they won in the Hosted Accommodation category to the long list of awards they’ve taken home in recent years.

National Anzac Centre won the bronze medal in the Tourist Attractions category. We highly recommend visiting this multi-award-winning facility while in Albany. Be sure to walk up Mount Clarence to the lookout for magnificent views over King George Sound and the surrounding coast.

Luxury Travel WA - Sal Salis Whale Sharks
Australia’s Coral Coast

Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef took home silver in the Unique Accommodation category. Featuring 16 eco-luxe safari tents nestled in the dunes between the Cape Range National Park and the crystal-clear water of the Ningaloo Reef, Sal Salis certainly fits the bill when it comes to unique! Our guests often add a stay at Sal Salis to their south-west walk, and this will no doubt be popular in our extended touring range. Time at this remote beachfront safari camp is a once in a lifetime experience and one we thoroughly recommend!

Live Ningaloo offers guests at Sal Salis a chance to swim with the whale sharks at Ningaloo Reef that frequent the waters off Exmouth’s coast. These gentle giants of the deep will be one of our favourite memories of your time on the Coral Coast. Visiting in Spring? Whale shark season will be over, but you can be one of the first to swim with a humpback whale on Live Ningaloo’s exciting new tour.

Luxury Travel WA - El Questro
Australia’s North West

Spending time in the world-renowned Kimberley region in Australia’s North West is a must on any trip to WA. Our favourite place to stay is iconic luxury lodge, El Questro Homestead.

While here, be sure to join a helicopter tour with Heli Spirit – it is only from the air that you will start to get a feel for the sheer scale of the Kimberley. A helicopter is also the most convenient way to access some of El Questro’s remote gorges, waterfalls and other stunning natural attractions.

Getting a bird’s eye view of the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park is also a must-do. Our friends at AviAir won Gold in the Major Tour and Transport Operator category, and they will arrange a scenic plane or helicopter tour over the Bungle Bungles, as well as private heli-hikes so you can experience this extraordinary area from the ground and above.

Last but certainly not least, be sure to swing past Broome and Cable Beach before leaving WA. In addition to its beautiful beaches, Broome is the gateway to experiencing the award-winning Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures. The half and full-day tours ex Broome take in the Horizontal Falls by boat and seaplane, and will be another highlight of your time in WA. Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures took out the prestigious David Brand award among several others marking them as a true icon of the WA tourism industry.

We hope this has provided some inspiration for your own WA luxury adventure. Stay tuned for details on Walk into Luxury’s extended private tours of WA featuring many of these award-winning operators and experiences...launching January 2018.
