Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Your East Kimberley experience starts in Kununurra where you'll be collected for the 90-minute journey to El Questro Homestead, taking in part of the famous Gibb River Road enroute. Upon arrival, you'll meet your El Questro host who'll confirm your personalised itinerary for the next few days, and then the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Relax by the pool, meet fellow guests over drinks in the main lodge or join a guided experience. This evening dinner and drinks showcasing local, seasonal produce and fine wines will be available to enjoy on the terrace or under the stars overlooking Chamberlain Gorge.

Day 2

Watch the landscape transform as the sun rises while enjoying breakfast on the sweeping veranda. Later this morning, join a river cruise or nature walk through sun-lit gorges, or a tour in a 4WD Safari vehicle. Lunch with wines is available back at the Homestead before this afternoon's activities. We highly recommend a visit to the peaceful oasis of Zebedee Springs. Possibly a highlight of your trip, meander through ancient palms under a rainforest canopy to reach the thermal springs, while it is closed to the public in the afternoon. After a soak in the warm healing waters, you'll be thoroughly relaxed before returning to the Homestead for evening drinks and dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast, another day of activity options at El Questro awaits. Hike through a gorge to a swimming hole for a refreshing dip, or consider a heli-experience today to reach remote Miri Miri Falls for a picnic lunch and swim in a private oasis (additional costs apply). We recommend an open-air safari adventure later this afternoon timed to watch the sunset from a scenic lookout high above Chamberlain Gorge, complete with wine and cheese. Enjoy a final Homestead dinner under the stars with a premium beverage to toast your special Kimberley weekend.

Day 4

Early risers may wish to join a guided bird-watching walk as the sun rises today, or perhaps soak up the views one last time over a leisurely morning coffee. After a final Homestead breakfast, you'll return by road to Kununurra with memories that will be a highlight of your year.
