Eagles Nest is in the town of Russell in New Zealand's Bay of Islands. You can fly to Kerikeri airport from Auckland (45 minutes), or self-drive (3 hours). Private return transfers from the airport to your accommodation are included.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

You'll be met on arrival into the Bay of Islands by your local chauffeur driver and transferred to the sanctuary of your Eagles Nest villa. Champagne is chilled ready for you to enjoy on your spacious terrace, or perhaps in the spa, while you plan out the days ahead. Your villa hosts are nearby if you'd like to be dropped into the town of Russell for a stroll on the foreshore, or you can walk to a private beach from your villa. Tonight you'll be transferred to nearby Paroa Bay winery for a special welcome dinner at acclaimed restaurant, Sage.

Day 2

This morning enjoy a wonderful breakfast of local gourmet provisions delivered to your villa. Later you will be chauffeured to the waterfront to meet your private charter boat for you Bay of Islands adventure. The crew will discuss your interests and tailor the day to suit you. Wildlife viewing, kayaking and snorkelling are popular options, and when it is time for lunch you'll anchor off a special bay or island to maximise the best conditions. Enjoy local produce and New Zealand wines as you rock in the bay and soak up the sunshine. On return to your villa tonight, enjoy a dip in the pool or spa before a relaxed evening in. We arrange a gourmet BBQ dinner hamper for you tonight so you can enjoy a night in after a special day out on the water.

Day 3

Enjoy a sleep-in this morning and a free day of strolling to quiet beaches and around the town. Historic Duke of Marlborough hotel on the Russell foreshore is a pretty spot to relax and enjoy lunch while the boats bob in the bay. If you'd like some planned activities today, we recommend a private wine tour or if you're feeling active, there are some great local walks we can recommend. Back at your villa, you'll welcome your personal chef tonight. They will get to work preparing a five course tasting menu with New Zealand wine matches, designed to suit your tastes and showcase local produce. You can learn as the chef cooks, or just relax on your balcony and enjoy the view over the Bay of Islands.

Breakfast is enjoyed at your leisure today and there is time for a final stroll on the beach or wander around town before check-out. Your driver will arrive as scheduled for your transfer to Kerikeri airport.
